Hello, World: Starting a Writing Habit

A first note on why I'm starting to write here, and what to expect.

I’ve been meaning to write more, in public, for a while. This is the first post on the new site, mostly to prove the pipeline works end to end.

Why write here

Most of my longer, tutorial-style pieces have lived on Medium, and newer work tends to show up on Hugging Face. This space is for the shorter, more opinionated notes: half-formed ideas about multilingual NLP, watermarking, content provenance, and the cultural side of building generative systems.

How this works

Posts are plain Markdown files under src/content/posts/. Each one has a bit of frontmatter at the top, title, description, date, tags, and the body is just Markdown:

---
title: "Your title"
description: "One-sentence deck"
pubDate: 2026-07-17
tags: ["multilingual", "opinion"]
draft: false
---

Write your post here.

Set draft: true to keep something out of the public list while you work on it.

What’s next

More to come. If any of it sparks something, agreement, disagreement, a half-formed idea, email me.

Hady Elsahar is a Staff Research Scientist at FAIR, Meta Superintelligence Labs, working on invisible watermarking, content provenance, and multilingual generation. If this sparked something, agreement, disagreement, a half-formed idea, email me.
